A beautiful little winery nestled in a picturesque valley and surrounded with peacocks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We actually rode our bikes here from the Avila KOA, which is about 2.6 miles<\/a> away, along part of the very scenic Bob Jones Trail<\/a>. The last part of the ride is uphill, which is no problem if you have an e-bike like my wife, but I’m not going to lie – it was hard work keeping up with her on my unassisted mountain bike! So naturally, she arrived at the winery fresh as a daisy, while I looked… not so fresh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fortunately, the wine garden had some very nice shaded tables, surrounded by a backdrop of trees and a vegetable garden. And as mentioned above, plenty of peacocks strutting about the grounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The service was great, the wines were really good and the scenery and atmosphere were very relaxing. We ended up buying 6 bottles, which was about as much as we could carry back on our bikes – otherwise we would probably have bought more! They also have cider and apple-infused wine as well, which was interesting but not really our style.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Overall, a very nice experience, with some great wines, and if you’re up for it, only a short bike ride from the Avilla KOA campground. Definitely worth a stop if you’re visiting Avila for the weekend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
